Sheep Greetings from Germany

"Schäfchengrüsse" by Axel Scheffler.
Scheffler is a German artist who has lived in England since the 1980s, where he is a well-known illustrator of children's books.

The bottom stamp we've seen before. I went to look for the one on the top on Deutsche Post website, and I can find a picture of the stamp, but only in the section for buying "a variety of stamps" all worth 55 eurocent, and with no info about the stamp. Thank you, Deutsche Post website, for being of no use whatsoever.

  1. The stamp was issued in 2010 to commemorate 200 years of the Museum of natural History.

  2. Thanks Sheila. Actually I already posted about the bottom stamp (here: http://hagaki-mawari.blogspot.com/2010/07/bad-segeberg-germany.html); it was the top stamp I couldn't find any info on.

  3. The top stamp is a self adhesive stamp from a mini sheet of 10, with the motives ship and rainbow from the series "Post" 2010. The motives were designed by Professir Johannes Graf from Dortmund. First day of issue: 03. Februar 2011. The text says: With good wishes.

Hope that helped. This was all the information about the stamp I could find on deutschepost.de.
